GlowingMap respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the GlowingMap mobile application may collect, how it is used, and the choices you have when using the app.

Information We Collect

GlowingMap may collect and process location data when you grant location permission. This location data is used to provide core app features, including map tracking, visited area visualization, heatmap generation, landmark badge detection, and related travel history features.

The app may also store app-related data such as visited areas, heatmap data, unlocked badges, app settings, and sync status. GlowingMap does not require you to create a separate GlowingMap account to use the app.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through the app to operate, maintain, personalize, and improve GlowingMap. This includes showing your visited areas, updating your heatmap, unlocking badges when you visit supported landmarks, syncing your data across your Apple devices when enabled, and improving app reliability.

Location Data

Location access is used only for app functionality. You can choose whether to allow location access, and you can change or disable location permissions at any time in your device settings. Some features may not work properly if location access is disabled.

Data Storage and Sync

GlowingMap stores app data locally on your device. When iCloud or CloudKit sync is enabled, some app data may be synchronized using Apple CloudKit so your data can be available across your devices. CloudKit data is handled through Apple’s services and may be associated with your Apple ID according to Apple’s own privacy practices.

Third-Party Services

GlowingMap uses Apple services and technologies such as MapKit, Core Location, CloudKit, iCloud, and related system services to provide app functionality. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, protect rights and safety, or use Apple-provided services required for app functionality.

Your Choices

You can manage location permissions, iCloud settings, notification permissions, and app data through your device settings. You may also delete the app from your device, which may remove locally stored app data depending on your iOS and iCloud settings.

Children’s Privacy

GlowingMap is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate permission. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us.
